OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults) [formerly known as RCIA]
What is the OCIA?
OCIA is the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults. This is the gradual process for initiation into the Catholic Church. This ancient practice of the Church respects the freedom of each individual, their unique life journey, and the call of God in their life.
The Church desires to help each individual that comes to us hear the voice of God more clearly in their heart. Jesus said in the Gospel of John 10:10: "I have come that they might have life and have it to the full." God wants everyone to know the happiness he desires for them, and we are happy to journey with you to experience this in your life.
Who is the OCIA for?
Individuals in need of Baptism
Individuals baptized in another Christian tradition who are interested in becoming Catholic
Baptized Catholics who have not celebrated their Confirmation and first Eucharist
