Each Lenten season we pray the Way of the Cross as an expression of our solidarity with and love for the suffering Christ. I find the aforementioned prayer consoling and tender for our dear Jesus, who deserves nothing less than praise and love. Instead, He meets hatred, suffering, falsehood and death.
I encourage all of us to pray the Stations of the Cross with devotion on Fridays at 8am or on Fridays at 6pm in the parish church. You may also choose to pray privately.
Reflecting on this venerable prayer can certainly bring comfort and inspiration to us. Allow the grace of the season to carry you through, as Christ carries His cross for our sins and everlasting life!
